WOMEN AFFIARS MINISTER CONDEMNS THE ABDUCTION OF CHILDREN IN NIGER STATE

The Hon Minister of Women Affiars, Dame Pauline Tallen OFR KSG has condemned in the strongest possible terms, the recent abduction of children from Government Secondary School, Kagara, Niger State.
According to a statement released to the media by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Mr Shehu
Dame Pauline lamented that the callousness with which the criminals without respect.
“This act further shows that criminal gangs in the country are callous and have no respect for the dignity of human beings as enshrined in our laws and religious books.
“As a mother, I plead with these abductors to please have the fear of God and exercise a little compation by releasing these young Nigerians.
Keeping these innocent citizens in captivity, for no offense committed by them, is not the right thing to do no matter the grieviences”, she expressed.
She called on the parents of the abducted students to conduct themselves in a calm way to enable government come to the rescue of the children. “I believe that government is on top of the situation”, she added
She also noted that is on record that security operatives in Nigeria have successfully negotiated, rescued or secured the release of our children in similar circumstances before. It is now my believe that our security operatives will, surely, repeat the feat in this case.
