WMO to Participate in COP30 in Belém, Brazil

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) will be participating in the 30th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Belém, Brazil, from November 10 to 21, 2025.

– WMO Community Meeting: Tuesday, November 11, 2025, 15:00-16:00
– Reception at the WMO-MERI-IPCC Pavilion: Tuesday, November 11, 2025, 18:00
– Earth Information Day: Monday, November 10, 2025
– Ministerial Launch of the Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (CREWS) 2030 Strategy: Monday, November 10, 2025
– High-Level Launch of the Extreme Heat Risk Governance Framework and Toolkit: Tuesday, November 11, 2025
– Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF) High-Level Event: Tuesday, November 11, 2025
– Launch of the Status of Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems (MHEWS) Report: Wednesday, November 12, 2025

WMO’s Objectives:

– Advance science-based decision-making
– Strengthen early warning systems
– Support adaptation and resilience-building worldwide

The WMO invites all Permanent Representatives and national delegations to participate in these events and strengthen collaboration on shared priorities.
