UPDATE ON OKECHUKWU OKOYE BEHEADED AT ANAMBARA STATE NIGERIA

Okechukwu Okoye beheaded by Gunmen Hon Okechukwu Okoye, the lawmaker representing Aguata II Constituency in the Anambara State House of Assembly in Nigeria, was beheaded by suspected gunmen.

Okoye’s head was discovered hanging in Nnobi, Anambra State’s Idemili South Local Government Area. His body was missing, and there were signs that the killers had taken it.

According to the statement, the government has condemned the incident and offered a N10 million reward to anyone or group who can provide valuable information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators immediately. “Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo; CFR, has received with shock and deep sadness the news of the gruesome murder of Hon. Okechukwu Okoye, member representing Aguata II Constituency at the State House of Assembly, and his aide, Cyril Chiegboka,” said the governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.

On the 15th of May, Hon Okoye and Cyril Chiegboka were both kidnapped on the road by heartless and barbaric murderers. “Governor Soludo expresses his condolences to his Isuofia kin, noting that the criminal gang that attacked him and killed three police officers in Isuofia two years ago is most likely on the loose again.” They will never be able to contain Isuofia and Anambra State.

“Governor Soludo, still reeling from the barbaric acts perpetrated against his two kinsmen, vowed that the perpetrators, as well as all criminals operating in Anambra, must be brought to justice decisively.” As a result, Governor Soludo has offered a N10 million reward to anyone or group who can provide valuable information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators of this heinous crime. Gov. Soludo assured that Anambra will soon be a hell for these criminals. “Governor Soludo wishes to reassure Ndi Anambra of the government’s resolve and renewed determination to go all out against the criminals and ensure they are brought to justice with the help of the security agencies.”

While presenting the state’s revised budget to state lawmakers on Friday, Soludo expressed optimism that the deceased could be rescued. He informed them that their House of Assembly colleague was still being held captive by the kidnappers.

Okechukwu Okoye, the member of the House of Assembly representing the good people of Aguata II Constituency (my own representative) is still in the hands of the kidnappers. “The security services are working around the clock to ensure his freedom.” Anambra will triumph because God is on the throne. At the House of Assembly, the governor said, “Let me leave it at that.”

Ikenga Tochukwu, the State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the lawmaker was killed. “His head was found along Nnobi Road today,” he said (Saturday). “At this time, there is no suspect in custody,” the PPRO stated.
