UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF REJECTION CAN LEAD TO CELEBRATION:

Margaret Akpa

One of the most dramatic things that ever happened to me was being attacked by ‘one chance’ guys under Berger bridge my phone was collected and some money and there drove off.
In the middle of the attack, my ears were opened, and I heard God for the very first time. He promised me that the attack would amount to nothing.

However , immediately after he made me this promise, the next day I went to do a welcome back at Maitama Mtn office. I had privilege of getting back a few numbers after most of my contacts were gone. I quickly got a small phone and was off internet for while.

For an applicant, to be without contacts and no internet phone to see opportunities i felt left out from the world. After a month I got a call an opening.
I then had the privilege of not only witnessing how God saved me from the one chance and also how he dramatically heal me from the truma.

Rejection is validation. The fact that you tried automatically sets you apart from hundreds of thousands of others who gave up without giving themselves a fighting chance. When you receive a rejection of any kind, it reminds you that you tried. You put in the effort. You saw an opening, and you went for it. It’s better to receive a rejection than to have nothing at all.

In the words of Rosa Luxemburg, “Those who do not move, do not notice their chains.” If you don’t try, you’re holding yourself back. It’s up to you to make yourself and your work worthwhile.
