UI open to mutually beneficial partnerships.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, FAS, mni, has assured that the University of Ibadan will be glad to have a strategic partnership with the Capital Express Assurance company. However, he stressed that the relationship must be maximally and mutually beneficial.
A team of Insurance brokers from Capital Express Assurance Limited were in the University today to pay a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor.
Led by the Head, Special Products Unit, Mr Steve Akadiri, the team comprised the Ibadan Branch Manager, Mr Adedeji Kehinde and the Area Manager, Mrs Tomilola Akinbowale.
Mr Akadiri brought well wishes from the Company’s Group Chairman, Chief Anthony Aletor and stated that the visit was to enable the Company establish strategic partnerships with the University of Ibadan in the areas of Students welfare.
He explained that Capital Express Assurance Limited is an amalgamation of 14 Life Assurance companies, specialists in providing Life Assurance covers and comprehensive covers against accident and death.
Mr Akadiri then assured that the company will not only provide cover for the students of the University but will also invest in the University through the provision of endowments, empowerment programmes as well as infrastructure.
Present at the visit were, the representative of the Bursar, the Deputy Bursar, Final Accounts and Reporting, Mr O. A. Abimbola; the Dean of Students, Professor I. A. Abiona and the Deputy Registrar in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Mrs Morenike Afolabi.
