UI appreciates the invaluable role of the UI Alumni Association

The University of Ibadan appreciates the invaluable role that the University of Ibadan Alumni Association World wide is playing in positioning the University in the fore front of the education sector in Nigeria.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola, stated this on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, while receiving Executive Committee members of the UIAA worldwide during a courtesy visit.
Professor Ayoola urged the UIAA not to relent in its efforts to support the University to become the best in Africa.
The UIAA team was led by the President, Professor Saawua G. Nyityo who explained that the purpose of the visit was to introduce the Guest Lecturer of the National Public Service Lecture 2023 organised by the Association.
The Guest Lecturer was Dr Mazadu D. Bako, FNMGS, FNAPE, former Group General Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.
His lecture was entitled ” Frontier Basin Hydrocarbon Exploration: The Nigerian Experience.
Former Vice Chancellor of Benue State University, Makurdi, Professor Charity Ashimem Angya was expected to be the Chairperson at the Lecture.
