Udom kicks-off campaign, Shut Down Uyo
Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital was shut down, as thousands of supporters and People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), party loyalists converged at the Uyo Sports Stadium to show their unalloyed support for Gov. Emmanuel Udom.
The former speaker, Ignatius Edet who was readmitted into the PDP said not less than 5000 of his supporters were at the venue to support the governor’s reelection bid.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke said since August last year, the Udom’s government had series of intimidation from the opposition.
“We know them. They don’t mean well for Akwa Ibom. If their bele no full, dem no dey think about another person”, he said.
Lauding the efforts of the governor in the area of providing employment opportunity for the teeming youth in the state, the National Legal Adviser of PDP, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem says: “The industries and unemployments which is the major cause of poverty has been settled within three years in Akwa Ibom State under Governor Udom Emmanuel.
“We are not bragging, we were told that Udom is right and we have not been told that Udom is left. The future of our children and people depends on your re-election.
“We in Ikot Ekpene senatorial district will return you and all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections”.
