Thomas Tuchel has become the second managerial casualty of the season after he was shown the exit door by the new Chelsea Football Club Management under Todd Boely.

Tuchel, who led the team to a Champions league victory in 2021 was fired after the team lost three matches out of seven – the latest of them being a 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League.

Chelsea spent a record 250 million pounds (£250m) in the just concluded transfer window with the defense getting over sixty percent (60%) of the funds but the defensive frailties that forced the club to spend that big still persisted.

The former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund gaffer however, did lead the team to some incredible successes in his twenty months in charge and they include: Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and even emerged as UEFA Coach of the Year 2021.

The club has lined up potential replacements for the German with Brighton and Hove Albion Coach, Graham Potter reportedly leading the race.
