TIV COMMUNITY IN LAGOS HONOURS AMAECHI WITH ANGEER, APPRECIATES HIS GENUINE LOVE FOR BENUE STATE

The Tiv community in Lagos organized a reception to honour the executive secretary of shippers council, Rt.Hon Barr Jime in Lagos State on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

The Honourable Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was applauded and kitted with Tiv traditional  attire in honour and appreciation by the Tiv community in Lagos for his genuine love for the Tiv nation in Benue State Nigeria which manifested in the appointment of their own as the Executive Secretary of an Agency under his ministry.

Speaking, Rt. Hon Amaechi said Jime was appointed by the president based on being a perfect gentleman par excellence.

“Initially, we at the ministry and the Nigeria Shippers Council were apprehensive with the appointment of Jime, because we have never worked with a politician as the Executive Secretary.

“But we only assumed that he is a gentleman and a week into his assumption, we found out that he is as gentle as the former Executive Secretary of the council,” he said.

He assured staff of the council and stakeholders in the shipping industry of the Jime’s competence and ability to transform the sector.
