SWAN Congratulates FCT scribe Samuel Ahmadu on FCC Appointment

The National Executive Committee and entire membership of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) have extended warm congratulations to Mr. Samuel Oluwagbemi Ahmadu on his appointment as Special Assistant on Media to the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran.
In a congratulatory letter jointly signed by SWAN President, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin, and Secretary-General, Mr. Ikenna Okonkwo, the association described the appointment as well-earned and a clear recognition of Ahmadu’s professionalism, dedication, and outstanding contributions to media practice.
SWAN insisted that Ahmadu’s wealth of experience and strategic communication skills position him to strengthen the Commission’s public engagement architecture and enhance its institutional visibility.
“This prestigious appointment underscores your competence, integrity, and commitment to excellence in media administration. We are confident that your leadership will drive media growth, promote youth empowerment, and significantly elevate the public profile of the Federal Character Commission,” the statement read.
The association further expressed optimism that Ahmadu, who currently is the Secretary of FCT SWAN chapter, will deploy his expertise to advance transparency, effective information management, and proactive stakeholder engagement within the Commission.
SWAN prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and success for him as he assumes the new responsibility, assuring him of its continued support and esteemed regards.
The association reiterated its confidence in Ahmadu’s capacity to make meaningful and lasting contributions in his new role and wished him a successful tenure.
