SPORTS MINISTER TO GRACE DR OLUKOYA WOMEN BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

In line with the Minister of Youth and sports Development Mr. Sunday Sunday Dare’s vision of grassroots sports Development via private initiative, the Minister will be a special guest at the maiden edition of the Dr & Mrs Daniel Olukoya Women Basketball Championship.

According to a statement signed by Godwin Enakhena, Director Sports MFM “The Minister of Youth and sports Development Mr Sunday Dare has assured that he will be at the maiden edition of the Dr and Mrs Daniel Olukoya Female Basketball Championship at the Yaba College of Technology on Sunday July 4th, 2021.This champion is organised by the MFM General Overseer as part of his support to sports Development, engage the girl child and reposition them for a better future”

Enakhena disclosed further “8 teams from Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Abuja and Lagos will take part at the event which will attract cash prizes.

He affirmed that this champion will keep the players busy since the Basketball League has not been played since late 2019.

The competition which started on Monday June 28 will climax on Sunday July 4 with the final gam
