Sports Minister Salutes Army’s Fierce Commitment To Protecting Nigeria.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has commended the NIgerian Army’s Fierce Commitment To Protecting nation.
Dare stated this while speaking as representative of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha at the Commissioning of the Tukur Yusuf Buratai Polo Club in Jaji Military Cantonment Kaduna,
He said the exhibition tournament served as an elaborate reunion event for all infantry soldiers of the Nigerian Army, both serving and retired, adding that Polo can be regarded as a total sports as it enhances the physical and mental well-being of players, improving balance and motor function of the body system.
Describing Polo as the favourite Sports of the Military for over 100 years, the Minister asserted that the Commissioning of the club, named after the former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Buratai, will give Soldiers, and Nigerian Youth the opportunity to harness their talents to the fullest and participate fully in the Polo game.
On Gen. Buratai, the initiator of the Polo club, the Minister described him as a fine officer and a gentleman. “As Chief of Army Staff, he served this country, alongside his officers and men with fierce commitment and uncommon patrotism at a time of serious security challenges”, Dare added.
Amongst dignitaries at the ceremony were Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya, Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, Former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Tukur Buratai and other top officers of the Nigerian Army.
