SHAME ON NEW ZEALAND AND WOE TO NIGERIA
Raymond Obaji
Pardon the screaming headline but having caught your attention permit me to speak out my bowels:
I join the rest of the world in condemning the mass murder and horrific killing of Muslim faithfuls in Christchurch Mosque, New Zealand. No reason justifies this unholy action against humanity and perpetrators must not go unpunished.
That is my stand, be it back home here (where, unfortunately, we have shown zero concern for similar heinous attacks) or anywhere else in the world. We must respect and value human life above any consideration.
In Nigeria, we have lost the right to be surprised over similar massacres. It should not be so. North East, middle belt and recently North west are all bleeding (I did not forget Niger Delta). Our citizens are taking too much of a hit from elements who have not and may never been brought to justice.
It’s time to rise up and speak against these merchants that have no value for human life.
The horror is becoming global. New Zealand, adjudged the safest country in the world, is now hitting the airwaves raking in 49+ deaths in one swoop. What a dastardly harvest. Shame.
Can someone tell me or guess which country or state is next on line? As for Nigeria, we get surprised if we don’t hear such news in a week!! Politicians will even brag of achieving one qeek’s respite from the devils. Shame
