Sen Gershom Bassey comes to the aid of IDPs in CRS

Senator Gershom Bassey, the Senator Representing the Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State has distributed relief materials to internally displaced persons and their host communities in the State.

The distribution of the support materials was launched by Sen Gershom Bassey through the office , Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).

Sen Bassey in a statement through the Director of Training, BCDA, Mrs Obase Ngozi Sarah implores the beneficiaries to make the best use of these items. ‘It is meant to mitigate the suffering of displaced persons’. ‘These items are not for sale but given to you as a support material’ ,she said.

The items for distribution include mattresses, blankets, mats, mosquito nets, wrappers toiletries among others.
