SECOND EDITION OF THE OLULUMO CULTURAL FESTIVAL KICKS OFF

In a bid to revive their culture as handed down to them by the ancestors, the people of Olulumo clan, Okuni and guests gathered at the village square today to hold the second edition of the OLULUMO Cultural Festival which comprises of four villages namely Emorrow, Effi, Omon and Iyami.

An indigene of the Okuni, Mrs Florence Takon who witnessed the event said the objective of the festival is’ cultural revival,promote unity, cultural harmony and foster security and positivity, adding that it also seeks to harness the intrinsic values of the Olulumo cultural heritage among others.

The event which showcased the Olulumo culture in the areas of dressing, language, story telling, dance and traditional foods preparation, had different age grades colorfully adorned in the native atire that danced round the arena.

The second and final round of this edition comes up on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
