SCAM ALERT: “Beware of Fake Contract and Project Funding Claims” – CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has issued a warning to the public about fraudulent individuals claiming to have received contract award letters for construction projects and special financial interventions on behalf of the bank. These scammers are out to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians, and their claims are completely false.
According to Mrs. Hakama Sidi-Ali, Acting Director of Corporate Communications, the CBN has discontinued direct development interventions and special projects funding. The bank has also not authorized any public notices for such interventions on social media or other news outlets.
