Reward for Commitment: APEC Hails Engr. (Dr.) Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz’s Reappointment as TCN MD/CEO

Abuja, Nigeria – The Abuja Power & Energy Correspondents (APEC) has commended the Federal Government over the reappointment of Engr. (Dr.) Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) for a fresh four-year tenure.
In a statement jointly issued by its Chairman, Emmanuel Onotevure, and Secretary, Raphael Ekpang, the group described the decision by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a strategic move that would ensure sustained progress in the nation’s power transmission sector.
APEC praised Engr. Abdulaziz for his outstanding performance in office, noting that his leadership has driven significant advancements in grid reliability, expansion of transmission capacity, and the successful execution of critical infrastructure projects across the country.
According to the correspondents, his continued stewardship is vital to consolidating the gains already recorded and accelerating ongoing reforms within TCN, which remains central to the stability of Nigeria’s electricity supply chain.
“The reappointment is a clear endorsement of his competence, dedication, and ability to deliver results. Continuity at this critical time will further strengthen the transmission network and support the broader goals of the power sector,” the statement noted.
The group also encouraged the TCN boss to build on existing achievements by fostering innovation, enhancing technical capacity, and promoting stronger synergy among stakeholders in the electricity industry.
APEC expressed optimism that the new tenure would usher in greater efficiency, improved service delivery, and measurable contributions to national economic growth, while wishing Engr. Abdulaziz continued success in office.
