RAMADAN: Ayade Congratulates Muslims, Urges Them To Pray Against Insecurity, Religious Intolerance

Cross River State Governor, Prof Ben Ayade has congratulated the Muslims, urging them to pray against insecurity, banditry and intolerance in Nigeria.
In a message signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade on Muslim Affairs, Alhaji Tanimu Hassan, stated that, Nigerians needs prayers of a peaceful Co-Existence, mutual cooperation and religious tolerance now more than before.
The Governor who used the period to commiserate the Muslims, the Hausa/Fulani Community in Cross River State, over the demise of Seriki Salisu Abba Lawal who died recently and congratulated the new Seriki, Garba Abba Lawal, commended the peaceful nature of the ummah in the State.
He said the 2022 Ramadan which coincided with the period of Lent was a sign of Unity in diversity and Togetherness of the people of Nigeria.
“The Muslims and Christians are of the same stock from Adam who gave birth to all of us, the commencement of the 2022 annual Ramadan fast which is taking place with the annual Christian Lent on going again is a sign of our Unity in diversity.
“Other States in Nigeria should emulate Cross River’s effort in peace building and mutual coexistence among different People of different faith, yet living peacefully without religious or ethnic disagreement.
“This challenging times calls for fervent Prayers for Allah to intervene towards the sustenance of our cherished Country as well as the enthronement of Leaders that will truly meet the yearnings and aspirations of the generality of the People”, Hassan added.
Ayade also called on Nigerians to continue to live in harmony and be tolerant of each other, irrespective of religion, tribe or ethnic differences.
