Private Sector Key to State Economic Growth- CRS Deputy Gov tells NACCIMA

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Peter Odey, has emphasized the crucial role of the private sector in driving sustainable economic growth in the state. Receiving the National President of NACCIMA, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, Odey stressed that government alone cannot achieve economic prosperity without an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
Odey highlighted initiatives like the Obudu Ranch Resort revamp, Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort restoration, and the Bakassi Deep Seaport Project, showcasing the state’s commitment to private sector-led growth. He reaffirmed the state’s focus on ease of doing business, SME support, and partnerships with organized private sector groups.
NACCIMA President Engr. Jani Ibrahim praised Cross River’s urban renewal, infrastructure development, and security, describing the state as a top tourist destination and economic hub. He assured NACCIMA’s collaboration and sought government support for projects aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Odey was conferred as a NACCIMA Ambassador, with attendees including former NACCIMA President High Chief Bassey Edem and CALCCIMA President Mr. Kelly Ayamba.
