Prince Otu consults the Central Senatorial District as Tsunami of Defections hits PDP

The Gubernatorial flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Edet Otu, has concluded his consultative and ‘thank you’ tour in the Central Senatorial District of the State.
Sen. Otu paid homage to the Obol Lopon of Ugep and Paramount Ruler of Yakurr Local Government Area, HRM Obol Ofem Ubana Eteng where he recieved royal blessings from the Monarch.
Addressing the entourage, the Obol Lopon affirmed his endoresement of Sen. Otu and said: “Even without seeing you, we had already adopted you as the next Governor of Cross River State. I’m always with Government and completely support whatever good decision Government takes”.
In his address, Barr. Chief Obono Obla noted that the Central s6enatorial District believes in justice, equity and fairness and the good people of Yakurr have unanimously decided that the Governorship returns back to the South.
Speaking on behalf of the women of Yakurr, Hon. Mrs. Esther Bepeh said “Sen Otu’s antecedents in human capital development and experience in leadership is the reason Yakurr women have decided it must be the Sweet Prince.
Responding, Ntufam Sen Prince Bassey Otu expressed gratitude to the people for the rousing reception, warmth, hospitality and show of love.
The event culminated in the defection of notable members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to the APC, among whom were Rt. Hon. Nelson Ofem, Member Yakurr, State House of Assembly, Mr. Yibala Inyang, Chief Johnson Ugbo, Mr. Arikpo Enang Iwara, Hon. James Offor, Councillor, Ajere Ward among others.
