The Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo has warned the youths to desist from participating in protests that are sponsored by the political elites.
This he said on his official Twitter handle in reaction to the spate of protests going on in some States of the federation.
Adebayo, who told the youths to have a rethink before embarking on protests said that there is a political undertone to the protests and that it is geared towards postponing the 2023 General Elections.
He said: “Before joining any street protests, think twice. In fact, don’t do it. Take it from me, this is what they want you to do so that the Elections can be postponed and a dastardly Interim Government is cobbled up comprising the same clique.
He also added that he can never be a part of such actions as they are inimical to the country by saying, “I have told them to count me out of it. Never!”
The Presidential Elections is coming up on February 25, 2023 and there has been severe discontent by the Nigerian populace over the money scarcity that has rocked the nation in the past three weeks.
