Presidential Adviser Visits Transportation Ministry, Commends Progress on Railway Modernization

Hajiya Khadija Bala Usman, Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, visited the Transportation Ministry on Thursday, December 12, 2024, as part of her ongoing tour of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). The visit aimed to gather firsthand information on the implementation of presidential priorities and ministerial deliverables.
During the visit, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali, the Honourable Minister of Transportation, expressed appreciation for the visit and assured that the ministry would leave no stone unturned in achieving the presidential priorities. He highlighted the ministry’s efforts in railway modernization, the establishment of the University of Transportation in Daura, and the conversion of vehicles from petrol to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
A short TV documentary showcasing the progress made in the railway project was also presented during the visit. The Special Adviser’s visitation to MDAs is expected to continue, with a focus on assessing the implementation of presidential priorities and ministerial deliverables.
