PMB APPROVES 95 AMBASSADORIAL POSTINGS

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has approved the posting of 95 Ambassador designates to Missions abroad.
This in a press release from the office of Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs made available to News Dot Africa.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform that His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the posting of Ambassador-Designates to Nigerian Missions abroad. The list includes 43 Career Ambassadors and 52 Non-career Ambassadors”, Aduda stated
The PS disclosed that induction programme for the Ambassadors-Designate and their spouses will come at a date to be announced. You recall that for over four months the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs has cleared the Ambassador-designates awaiting their letters of posting, which has been delayed because of the covid-19 pandemic witnessed all over the world.
Amb Aduda who announced the development said the process of requesting agreement from the prospective host countries have commenced. The Ambassadorial posting is the dream of any Foreign Service Officer.
Mr Gabriel Tanimu Aduda who assumed office as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, 31st December 2020 was conferred with the title of Ambassador-in situ by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Friday, 8th January, 2021.
