PDP delegation visits Boki, vow to rescue Cross River State

The Cross River State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. Venatius Ikem, and other members of the State Executive Council, led a delegation of political stalwarts to Okundi, the commercial nerve centre of Boki Local Government Area to visit her teaming supporters ahead of the State Campaign rally coming up within the month.

The gathering heralded the affirmation and absolute support of the people of Boki LGA towards the election of Sen. (Prof.) Sandy Ojang Onor as the incoming Governor of Cross River State and other candidates of the People’s Democratic Party, in the forthcoming elections in 2023.

The occasion was well attended by notable political leaders beyond Boki. Conspicuously present were Barr. Attah Ochinke, the PDP flag-bearer for the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency; Prof Donald Enu of the Faculty of Arts and Social Science Education University of Calabar. 

Others are, Dr.Bisong Obi, DG Caterpillar movement; Hon. Pius Abang, aka JoJo Amani; Hon. Timothy Okwoche aka Political Obstacle, the Zonal Auditor of the People’s Democratic Party; Mr Moses Abang, former registrar of the University of Calabar; Hon.Thomas Busa Odu, one of the APC decampee from Ekpashi Ward in Boki LGA; Hon. Fabian Okwajie, the Chapter Chairman, and other political stalwarts of the Party, who joined the political trail in the political check-up to Boki LGA of Cross River State.

Addressing the mammoth crowd of party supporters, the State Chairman Barr. Vena Ikem, reminded all present about the jumbo decisive votes of Boki that has given victory to the party over the years. He admonished them to come out en masse to vote for credible and efficient representation in 2023 beginning from Presidency to the House of Assembly in 2023.

For his part, the State Party Secretary Hon. Anthony Edako, also recasted the minds of the supporters to the evil of the APC on the LGA for the past seven and half years. He admonished all to think about the development of Boki nation and shun the deceptive food on the table appointment of Governor Ben Ayade and work out their emancipation by voting PDP in the next election to continue the developmental strides that were truncated by the appalling APC administration.
