PASSION: Do you have it in all you do?

Mike Ihezuo

INTRODUCTION:

Questions

Passion, do you have it? In your career, work or job, business, spirituality, academics, in all you do, do you have it? Are you sure?

Why the Questions?

Passion positions us well.
It gives us the greatest odds for success.

People throw away their passion (what they loved to BE, DO, HAVE, be KNOWN) and pursue otherwise (not because of law of necessity);

+ when they want to follow line of least defense,

+ when they must “wack” (eat) before considering living, just like Abraham grandson called Esau, and

+ when they want to play safe (been acceptable, or be in good books of chief approval officers). This makes for safe living.

Read the advice of Richard Elder…

“…safe livin’ generally makes for regrets later on. We are giving talents and dreams. Sometimes the two don’t match. But more often than not, we compromised both before finding out. Later on, as successful as we might be, we find ourselves looking back longingly to that time when we should have chased our true dreams and … talents for all they were worth. Don’t let yourself be pressured into thinking that your dreams or your talents aren’t prudent (economical, marketable). They’re never meant to be prudent. They were meant to bring joy and fulfillment into your life”.
– Richard Elder advice.

This can answer your question on why many people are not happy, joyful and unfulfilled, yet they may have plenty of money.

Majority of humanity don’t follow their passion, i.e what they enjoy. They follow the next meal. Opprobrious. Appalling. You see it in the way they live lives: enduring, frustrated, and unhappy. The publisher, publisher Malcolm Forbes (you remember www.forbes.com?) affirmed, “the biggest mistake people make in life is not trying to make a living at what they enjoy”. As a result, they ENDURE their working lives instead of making the most of them.

CAN I ADVISE YOU?

The best career advice you’ll ever receive is to discover your passion and follow it intently. Now, take that advice from me. Your dreams and everybody’s dreams come true when gifts (ABILITIES, TALENTS) are set on fire with passion.

Aim at achieving fulfillment in life. Passion provides it. Immediate food doesn’t. Don’t aim at next meal by making the meal a permanent relieve. That made Esau to sell his birthday right – position in Bible book of Genesis 25-27… and that thing vexed God.
