Super Eagles and Napoli forward , Victor Osimhen is threatening to take legal action against his club after a video was posted on the club’s official TikTok account that seemed to mock him.

The shocking video was posted after the striker missed a penalty in the goalless draw with Bologna over the weekend.

Osimhen who helped the Italian team secure a first league title, the club’s first in three decades scoring 31 goals across all competitions expects an apology from the Italian champions with the player and his management wanting the club to firmly distance themselves from the now deleted social media post.

Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda on his official X handle issued a statement on Tuesday night about the incident saying : “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

“This is a serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.”

He further said: “We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor”.

We learnt that after the comments by Calenda, Osimhen deleted all photos related to Napoli from his official Instagram, including last season’s Scudetto celebrations and also stopped following Napoli on Instagram before re-following them.

Napoli have since announced Osimhen has been included in their squad to face Udinese for their Serie A home game on Wednesday night.

Osimhen’s current deal runs through to the summer of 2025.
