OPERATIONAL TOUR: Badaru Visits 82 Division, Other Military Installations in Enugu and Imo States

Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru Abubakar is currently in Enugu for an operational tour of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and other military installations in Enugu and Imo State. Upon arrival, he was received by Major-General H.T. Dada, the General Officer Commanding 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander of the Joint Task Force South East, Operation Udoka, along with other senior military officers.
This tour is part of the Minister’s efforts to assess the operational readiness and effectiveness of the military in the region. During his visit, Badaru Abubakar is expected to meet with stakeholders from the South East to discuss the way forward and address any security concerns.
As the 25th Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar has emphasized the importance of cooperation among security stakeholders to curb insecurity in the country. He has also pledged to guarantee security for all Nigerians, highlighting that a safe and peaceful society is essential for national growth and development.
The Minister’s visit to Enugu is not an isolated event. He has been actively engaging with various military divisions and stakeholders across the country. Recently, he visited the Headquarters 3 Division in Jos, Plateau State, where he was briefed on the operational activities and coverage of the division .
The Minister’s visit is expected to assess operational readiness of the 82 Division and other military installations, meeting with South East stakeholders to discuss security concerns and the way forward, enhance cooperation among security stakeholders to address insecurity and guarantee security for all Nigerians and promote national growth and development.
