ONDO visits New Commissioner of Police State Command

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in charge of Ondo State, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola, has paid a courtesy visit to the new Commissioner of Police, CP Adebowale Lawal, at the Force Headquarters in Akure.
The visit which was aimed at reinforcing the strong partnership between INEC and the Ondo State Police Command towards ensuring credible, peaceful and transparent elections was described as appropriate.
Mrs. Babalola expressed however, appreciated the Police for their unwavering support during the last Governorship Election and the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise across the state.
In his remarks, CP Lawal commended INEC’s steadfast commitment to transparency and professionalism, pledging continued collaboration; while assuring that under his leadership, the Command will keep working closely with INEC and other security agencies through the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) to ensure effective and secure electoral operations
in Ondo State.
The REC was accompanied by the Administrative Secretary, Mrs. Adenike Tadese and Heads of Departments, INEC Ondo State.
