NYSC DG Urges Corps Members to Embrace Sacrifice, Unity at Easter

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has called on corps members and staff to imbibe the virtues of sacrifice, renewal, hope, and love as Christians celebrate Easter.
In an Easter message conveyed through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the NYSC leadership said the season offers a profound opportunity for reflection on values that align with the scheme’s core mandate.
The DG urged corps members to demonstrate these ideals in their daily conduct, stressing the importance of commitment to national unity, selfless service, and mutual respect.
According to the statement, Nigeria’s diversity remains a source of strength that should be harnessed to promote peace, unity, and national development.
“Through our collective resolve and shared sense of purpose, we can further advance the cause of a more peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria,” the statement read.
The NYSC leadership also encouraged personnel to draw inspiration from the Easter season to renew their dedication to service and nation-building.
It added that the spirit of Easter should inspire hope, strengthen resolve, and foster a deeper sense of fulfillment among corps members and staff.
The Director-General wished all members of the NYSC community a joyful and reflective Easter celebration, reaffirming the scheme’s enduring commitment to national service.
