NYSC Announces Schedule for 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the official timetable for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course, set to take place simultaneously across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to a press statement issued by the Scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the three-week orientation exercise will begin with the reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Registration is expected to conclude at midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026.

The swearing-in ceremony for the prospective corps members is scheduled to hold on Friday, April 24, marking the formal commencement of the orientation programme.

The NYSC further disclosed that the orientation course will run for 21 days and is slated to end on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

While wishing all mobilised Nigerian graduates a safe journey to their respective orientation camps nationwide, the Scheme reiterated its strong warning against night travel.

Prospective corps members were advised to break their journeys once it is 6:00 p.m. and seek accommodation at designated safe locations such as corps members’ lodges, military formations, police stations, or traditional rulers’ palaces before continuing their trips the following morning.

The NYSC emphasized that adherence to these safety guidelines remains crucial to ensuring the well-being of all participants throughout the mobilisation process.
