NRC Adjusts Abuja–Kaduna Train Service Schedule on FCT Council Elections Day

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), has announced a slight adjustment to its Abuja–Kaduna train service schedule ahead of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council Elections scheduled for Saturday, 21 February 2026.
In a statement issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer, Calistus Unyimadi, the outbound train from Abuja to Kaduna will now depart at 7:30 a.m. on the election day. The adjustment is to ensure smooth operations and enable passengers to travel before the commencement of movement restrictions associated with the elections.
However, the inbound service from Kaduna to Abuja will remain unchanged and will depart at 2:30 p.m. as previously scheduled.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the station early to avoid any inconvenience.
The Corporation expressed regret for any inconvenience the temporary adjustment may cause and thanked passengers for their understanding and cooperation.
