NiMet Trains Staff On Strategies For Effective Communication

Mansur Bako Matazu approved training for its media team to strengthen the members’ capacity especially in the area of Citizen Engagement, Crisis Management and deliver services efficiently using digital technologies like social media handles

Recognizing the importance of communication in organizational management, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), led by the Director General/ CEO Prof Mansur Bako Matazu approved training for its media team to strengthen the members’ capacity especially in the area of Citizen Engagement, Crisis Management and deliver services efficiently using digital technologies like social media handles.

The four days training, which is organised by the National Orientation Agency in conjunction with it’s technical partners, Tomruk iHub Multiverse, Dafuda and Centre for Journalism Innovations and Development, is on Building Social Media Strategies And Execution For Effective Communication And Crisis Management.

The highly interactive training was held at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Plateau State, and had participants from other government Ministries ,Departments and Agencies in attendance.
