NiMet Forecasts 3 Days Moderate Dust Haze  … Advices Public and Airline operators to take necessary precautions

THe Nigerian Meteorological Agency>(NiMet), has cautioned the general public to the take precautions weather conditions between 25th – 27th December 2023.

According to the Central Forecast Office (CFO), there will be “Moderate Dust Haze with horizontal visibility of 2 – 5km is expected over the Northern region, the North Central and the Inland cities of the South throughout the forecast period. “Patches of clouds in Hazy atmosphere is envisaged over the Coastal cities of the South.

“Potential impact/ Advisory
(i) Dust particles are in
suspension, public should take
necessary precautions.
(ii) People with Asthma and other respiratory issues should be
cautious of the present weather
situations.
(iii) Airline operators are advised to
get updated weather reports from
NiMet for effective planning in their operations.”
