Day 1: Monday 21st July, 2025
Northern Region:
Thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated during the early morning hours over parts of Taraba,
Adamawa, Kebbi and Sokoto states, while the remaining parts of the region are expected to be sunny
with patches of cloud. Thunderstorms with moderate rains are expected during the afternoon/evening
hours over parts of Adamawa, Taraba, Kebbi, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna and Yobe
states.
Central Region:
Cloudy skies are anticipated over the region during the morning hours with prospects of thunderstorms
with light rains over parts of Niger state. In the afternoon/evening hours, thunderstorms with light to
moderate rains are anticipated over parts of Plateau, Nasarawa, the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, Benue
and Niger states.
Southern Region:
Cloudy skies are expected over this region during the morning period with chances of morning rains over
parts of Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states. Light rain is expected over parts of Imo,
Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River and Akwa Ibom
states during the afternoon/evening hours.
Day 2: Tuesday 22nd July, 2025
Northern Region:
Sunny skies with patches of clouds are expected over the region during the morning hours with prospects
of thunderstorms with moderate rains over parts of Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba and Borno states.
Thunderstorms with moderate rains are expected during the afternoon/evening hours over parts of Kano,
Katsina, Taraba, Adamawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Jigawa and Kaduna states.
Central Region:
Sunny skies with patches of clouds are expected over the region during the morning hours with chances
of rains over parts of Benue state. Afternoon/evening thunderstorms with Light to moderate rains are
anticipated over parts of Plateau, Niger and the Federal Capital Territory.
Southern Region:
Cloudy skies are expected over the region during the morning hours with chances of rains over parts of
Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Edo, Delta and Cross River states. Moderate rains are expected over Ondo,
Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Edo, Rivers, Cross River, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states during the
afternoon/evening periods.
Day 3: Wednesday 23rd July, 2025
Northern Region:
Sunny skies with patches of cloud are expected over the Northern regions with prospects of morning
thunderstorms with rains over parts of Kaduna and Taraba states. Thunderstorms with moderate rains
are expected over parts of Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba and Kaduna states in
the afternoon/evening hours.
Central Region:
Cloudy skies are anticipated over the region during the morning hours with chances of rains over parts
of Plateau, Kwara, Niger and the Federal Capital Territory. Moderate rains are expected over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Niger, Benue, Kogi and Kwara states during the afternoon to
evening/night periods.
Southern Region:
There are prospects of morning Moderate to heavy rains over parts of this region throughout the forecast
period.
Advisory
i. Strong winds may precede the rains in areas where thunderstorms are likely to occur, public should
take adequate precaution.
ii. Ensure that loose objects are fastened to avoid collision.
iii. Driving under heavy rain should be avoided.
iv. Disconnect electrical appliances from electrical sockets.
v. Stay away from tall trees to avoid impact from falling branches and broken trees.
