Senator John Owan Enoh, Honourable Minister of State for Industry, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to transforming the country’s automotive industry. Speaking at of the Automotive Industry Stakeholders’ Conference in Lagos, Senator Enoh emphasized the industry’s potential for:

– Reduced Import Dependency: Promoting local manufacturing and self-sufficiency.
The government plans to achieve this by supporting local manufacturing, providing access to finance for auto manufacturers, and promoting environmentally sustainable practices. Collaboration with stakeholders, including the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), is seen as crucial to the industry’s success.
