Nigerian Chief of Air Staff Celebrates Women in the Nigerian Air Force

Abuja, Nigeria – The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has commemorated International Women’s Day by honoring the contributions and achievements of women serving in the Nigerian Air Force.

In a statement made available to News Dot Africa, Air Marshal Abubakar recognized the vital role women play in the Nigerian Air Force, highlighting their bravery, dedication, and commitment to protecting the nation.

The Nigerian Air Force has made significant strides in promoting gender equality and empowering women within its ranks. Women now hold various positions, including pilots, engineers, and medical personnel, demonstrating their capabilities and expertise.

The celebration aimed to encourage and inspire women in the Nigerian Air Force, acknowledging their sacrifices and accomplishments while promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the force.

“Women in the Nigerian Air Force are more than just defenders of our nation. They are trail blazers, breaking barriers, redefining possibilities and paving the way for the future of military service.
I urge you to keep soaring higher, keep inspiring the next generation, keep proving that gender is no limitation to Excellence in the armed forces”, the NAF Boss concluded.

The event was part of the Nigerian Air Force’s efforts to mark International Women’s Day, with the global theme “Accelerate Action” resonating throughout the celebrations.
