Nigerian Air Force Strikes Down Terrorist Logistics Base in Kaduna State

In a significant blow to terrorist operations in Nigeria, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully destroyed a major logistics base in Yadi Forest, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State. This bold operation was carried out under the umbrella of Operation Whirl Punch (OPWP) on Friday, September 27, 2024.
The NAF’s precision strike was informed by credible intelligence reports indicating a large presence of terrorists and their weapons cache in the Yadi Forest. Further surveillance revealed that the logistics base was controlled by notorious terrorist kingpin, Kadade Gurgu, a close ally of Dogo Gide. Gurgu had been providing shelter to fellow terrorist kingpins fleeing military operations in Sokoto and Zamfara States.
As the NAF aircraft approached the target, terrorists were seen fleeing the area. The air strike recorded successful hits on the logistics facility, engulfing it in flames and thick black smoke. Independent sources confirmed the total destruction of the base and significant terrorist casualties.
The Nigerian Air Force, in collaboration with ground forces, remains committed to dominating the battlespace through extensive surveillance, patrols, and targeted interdiction of terrorist safe havens. This ongoing effort aims to eradicate terrorism and criminal activities in the Northwest and North Central regions.
