Nigerian Agriculture Minister, Senator Abubakar Kyari, Hosts UN Assisant Sec Gen for Youth Participation in Agriculture

The Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, CON, hosted the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, Dr. Felipe Paullier, in a strategic meeting aimed at enhancing youth inclusion in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
During the engagement, the Minister emphasized the need to harness the potential of young Nigerians, who make up a large percentage of the population, to drive innovation, productivity, and sustainability in agriculture.
He highlighted ongoing collaborations with key international partners such as the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), which are focused on empowering young people with the skills and opportunities needed to strengthen food security and economic growth.
The Minister also reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to addressing key challenges, particularly access to finance and resources, to enable youths to actively participate and thrive in the agricultural value chain.
Amb. Musa Muhammed Tsoken, National Coordinator of Asiwaju Again Renewed Hope Initiative and National President of APC Initiative For Good Governance (APC-IGG), commended the Honourable Minister for his efforts in supporting Nigerian youths, boosting agricultural development, and creating sustainable opportunities for the nation.
