Nigeria Para Athletes optimistic on winning medals as Paralympic Games kick off in Paris.

The Nigeria Para Athletes are in high spirit of winning medals as the Paris Olympic Games take off in a spectacular and colourful style in Paris recently.

The highly rated Nigerian athletes and their officials were seen during the opening ceremony matching in their gorgeous green and white regalia in pride, showcasing the rich Nigerian culture and heritage.

About 4,400 athletes including Nigeria will be competing in 22 games at the various venues to run for 11 days of the game.

Nigerian Chigozie Nnanna and Alabi Ovazuaye will begin their quest for medal as they begin their games in Para Badminton and Table Thursday.

The ceremony was held at Place de la concorde at the French Capital outside the stadium followed by a parade by the athletes from the Iconic Arc de Tromphe through Avevue des Champs-Elysees.
