The Nigerian government has extended warm congratulations to the State of Kuwait on its independence anniversary. In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, commended Kuwait’s leadership for fostering stability, economic growth, and regional cooperation.

Nigeria and Kuwait have a long-standing relationship rooted in mutual respect, cooperation, and shared aspirations for global prosperity. The two nations have expressed commitment to strengthening bilateral ties in areas of mutual interest.

This congratulatory message is not the first time Nigeria has acknowledged Kuwait’s national occasions. In 2011, former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan congratulated Kuwait on its 50th Independence Anniversary, 20th Liberation Anniversary, and the Fifth Anniversary of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s assumption of power.

As Kuwait celebrates this significant milestone, Nigeria stands in solidarity with the nation, looking forward to deepening their partnership for the benefit of their people and the broader international community.
