Nigeria, Bangladesh Explore Stronger Agricultural Cooperation

Nigeria and Bangladesh have taken steps to deepen bilateral ties in agriculture following a high-level meeting in Abuja.
The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria, Miah Md. Mainul Kabir, paid a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), Dr. Marcus O. Ogunbiyi, at his office.

The meeting, which was attended by senior directors of the ministry, focused on strengthening mutual cooperation in the agricultural sector between Bangladesh and Nigeria.


Discussions centred on opportunities for collaboration in areas such as food security, agricultural development, and knowledge exchange, as both countries seek to boost productivity and enhance sustainable farming practices.

The engagement underscores ongoing efforts by both nations to leverage shared experiences and expertise to drive growth in their agricultural sectors.
