NDLEA Boss Receives French Delegation, Hails Successful Training Exercise

Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa, Chairman and CEO of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), welcomed a high-profile delegation from France to the NDLEA National Headquarters in Abuja. The visitors included Philippe Crespo, French Police Attaché to Nigeria, and members of RAID, an elite tactical unit of the French National Police.

The courtesy visit came on the heels of a successful three-week training program for NDLEA Strike Force officers at the Agency’s Academy in Jos, Plateau State. The training, which concluded on Friday, December 6, 2024, aimed to enhance the capacity of NDLEA officers in tackling drug-related crimes and other security challenges.

General Marwa, a seasoned military officer and administrator, has been at the helm of the NDLEA since January 2021. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the Agency’s capabilities and fostering international collaborations to combat drug trafficking and other transnational crimes .
