NCAA Enhances Media Capacity with Training for Aviation Correspondents

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has organized its second edition of the Annual Training for Aviation Correspondents in Abuja. The training, held on June 9th and 10th, 2025, aims to enhance media capacity and foster effective communication within the aviation industry.

The training demonstrates the NCAA’s commitment to building the capacity of media professionals in reporting aviation-related issues.

The NCAA has noticed a positive change in the way aviation news is reported since the first edition of the training, leading to a stronger relationship with aviation correspondents.

The training promotes proactive engagement between journalists and the NCAA, marking a significant step forward in their interactions.

Speaking during a welcome remarks, the representative of the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Complaints, Mrs. Uju Mbamalu said, “The training indicates the agency’s commitment to enhancing media capacity and fostering effective communication within the aviation industry.”

The elated participants noted that regular trainings of journalists create an avenue for a better understanding and an opportunity to report aviation sector issues with diverse perspectives.

The training is expected to lead to more accurate and informed reporting of aviation-related issues, ultimately benefiting the industry as a whole. By investing in media capacity building, the NCAA is promoting a better understanding of its role and responsibilities, leading to increased trust and cooperation between the agency and the media.

The Training Consultants led by the Managing Director of Airborne Entertainment Limited, Mr  Toni Ukachukwu, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of participants.
