NBS PROMOTES MR ICHEDI, SUNDAY JOEL AND EIGHT OTHERS AS DIRECTOR OF STATISTICS

National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in Nigeria, has promoted Mr Ichedi as Director of Statistics and Eight others, according to a circular issued by the Bureau on the 2nd of December, 2021. Born in Odugbo in Apa LGA of Benue, Mr Ichedi attended Saint Michael’s primary school from where he proceeded to Saint John’s Secondary Amoke in the same Apa LGA. After his sec. sch. , Mr Ichedi proceeded to School of Basic Studies Makurdi and later Ahmadu Bello University where he graduated in Economics in 1988.
Upon completion of his University degree, Mr Ichedi joined the services of the then Federal Office of Statistics in 1992 as a Statistician 2 and Rose to the rank of Director of Statistics today being 2nd December, 2021. Mr Ichedi also acquired post graduate diplomas in Statistics, Advertising and Public Relations, journalism and MBA from University of Ibadan, IIJ Abuja and ESUT respectively. He also holds a professional diploma of NIPR. Mr Ichedi also attended a French proficiency course in the institute fracais Abuja.
Ichedi is currently a post graduate student of Economics in Nasarawa State University where his is carrying out a serious research on the impact of farmers/ herders conflict on the livehoods of the people of Agatu LGA. Mr Ichedi is in charge of Communication and PR dept of NBS. He is married with children.
