As part of our ongoing inclusive advocacy, sensitization, collaboration and promotional activities, The Nigeria Bangladesh Business Technology Forum (NBBTF), Federal Ministry of Industries Trade and Investment (FMITI) led Inter Ministerial team on the first Nigeria- Afro Asia SMEs Exhibition and Summit paid a courtesy visit to the Post Master General of NIPOST, PMG Tola Odeyemi on Monday, July 15,2024.
The NBBTF President Arc Bob Achanya who led the team explained the objective of the international and how NIPOST being the National Currier will leverage on pre and post activity of the event to expand its dominance in the economic activity and growth in Nigeria and beyond. He stressed the gains that will accrue not only within the international Maritime and Blue Economy sector.
Bob commended the commitment and effort of the NIPOST representative on the Inter-ministerial Committee, Barr. Samuel Sangotayo who facilitated the visit.
In response, the PMG of NIPOST who graciously approved the collaboration, applauded the visiting committee for the upcoming event which towed the line of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
She recalled that the postal services in Nigeria is over a century but that there is a new thinking in the Renewed Hope Agenda to reposition NIPOST to meet up with the realities of the day. She said that already NIPOST is collaborating and has provided platforms for some agencies.
The PMG stressed the desire to keep up with the social mandate of NIPOST which gives everyone an opportunity to create business opportunities from any location.
