NBA APPOINTS ANNE AGI, OTHERS AS RAPPORTEURS FOR NBA FUNCTIONS

In the run-up to the opening ceremonies of the 61st Annual General Conference of the Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the Olumide Akpata-led administration at the NBA has appointed her College of Rapporteurs to carry out designated duties during the course of the administration.

According to Newswire Law and Events online news platform, Ms. Anne Agi of the NBA Ogoja Branch – a Law Lecturer and Managing Partner at Marvel Laws Attorneys who leads the team is and experienced NBA Rapporteur who has since 2009 worked under several Chief Rapporteurs including Dr. Nasir Usman, past DDG of the Nigerian Laws School, Mr. Yomi Oyelola, mni and lastly SAN-designate, Ikeazor Akaraiwe – the team also consists of another seasoned Rapporteur, Mrs. Foluke Akinmoladun, President (Managing Solicitor of Trizon Law Chambers) and Director-General of the African Ship Owners Association of Nigeria who will serve as Deputy Chief Rapporteur.

Other members of the administrative team include Ms Ada Ahubelem, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK as Secretary and Ms Adamma Isamade, Managing Partner of Ninth Inning Practice as Assistant Secretary.

The College of Rapporteurs also boasts of a team of editors in the persons of Dr. Osato Eruaga of the National Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), Dr. Ishaq Abubakar of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Mrs. Irene Pepple, a past National Assistant Financial Secretary and Principal Partner, Peacemakers Legal Consultants and Mrs. Ifeoma Adaghara, Principal Partner of Ifeoma Adaghara & Associates.

The team is made up of 40 lawyers selected while 28 are on the wait list.
Members of the NBA Rapporteur team are programmed to work in batches at relevant NBA functions and meetings where they collate reports and produce the communique at its conclusion. The first batch begins its first official assignment at the ongoing 61st Annual General Conference.
