NAF Special Forces Strike Again: Neutralizing Notorious Bandit Halilu Sububu

In a daring operation, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Special Forces, led by three brave personnel, dealt a significant blow to terrorist elements in Zamfara State. On September 12, 2024, the team, part of Operation HADARIN DAJI, launched a follow-up mission after encountering hostile forces near Mayanchi.
Their target was notorious bandit Halilu Sububu, responsible for wreaking havoc in the region. The NAF Special Forces, in conjunction with ground troops, successfully neutralized Sububu and over 38 other terrorists. The operation resulted in the retrieval of four bodies for verification and the recovery of a substantial cache of weapons.
The haul included two Rocket-Propelled Grenade tubes, one RPG bomb, three PKT machine guns, five AK-47 rifles, 29 magazines, and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition. This decisive victory demonstrates the effectiveness and professionalism of the NAF Special Forces in leading critical missions to neutralize threats and maintain national security.
Group Captain Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, signed off on the statement, highlighting the success of the operation.
