NAF Special Forces neutralize notorious terrorist kingpin, others in Igabi LGA, Kaduna State

In another daring operation, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Special Forces neutralized a notorious terrorist kingpin, Mustapha Abdullahi, and five members of his group in Igabi Local Government Area (LGA), Kaduna State. The operation was carried out on August 31, 2024, following an intelligence report that the terrorists were planning to kidnap, harm, or kill innocent civilians.
Acting on the tip-off, a team of Special Forces from the NAF 413 Force Protection Group was dispatched to comb the location. The terrorists, who were on motorcycles, opened fire on sighting the troops, but were met with superior firepower. All six terrorists lookwere eliminated in the ensuing firefight.
The NAF Special Forces recovered several items from the terrorists, including five dane guns, a locally fabricated sub-machine gun, and live ammunitions. Other items found on the terrorists were assorted charms, lighters, SIM cards, and phone cases.
The operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the NAF to rid Igabi, Birnin Gwari, and other areas of Kaduna State of terrorist elements. The NAF has vowed to continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all Nigerians.
