The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the successful neutralisation of several terrorists following precision air strikes carried out in Malam Fatori, Borno State, on March 18, 2026.

According to a statement accompanying released images from the operation, the strikes were executed by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI as part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in Nigeria’s North East region. The operation was driven by actionable intelligence and conducted in close coordination with ground troops.
Military authorities noted that the outcome of the mission underscores the growing effectiveness of intelligence-led air operations in degrading terrorist capabilities and supporting ground offensives across the theatre.
The released visuals, though blurred, show the aftermath of the strikes and the neutralised insurgents. The statement advised viewer discretion, noting that some of the images may be disturbing to sensitive audiences.

The Nigerian military has continued to intensify both aerial and ground campaigns aimed at restoring peace and stability in Borno State and other parts of the North East affected by insurgency.
The materials were shared to enhance media awareness and provide insight into ongoing efforts by security forces to combat terrorism in the region.
