The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) on Thursday, 19 February 2026, participated in the National Shea Sector Impact Assessment Validation Session held at the Bank of Industry (BOI) Towers, Abuja.

NACCIMA was represented by Dr. Emmanuel Akeh, Director, Abuja Corporate Office; Ambassador Suleiman Audu; and Mr. Mahmud Mohammed.
The high-level session brought together key public and private sector stakeholders and was graced by the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. (Mrs.) Jumoke Oduwole; the Honourable Minister of State (Industry); and the Honourable Minister of Agriculture, alongside other senior government officials and industry leaders.

The validation session focused on reviewing the findings of the Shea Sector Impact Assessment and charting a sustainable pathway for strengthening Nigeria’s shea value chain. Discussions centred on improving productivity, enhancing value addition, boosting export competitiveness, and expanding access to structured financing for operators within the sector.

During the deliberations, NACCIMA reaffirmed its strong commitment to sustainable industrialisation and inclusive growth within Nigeria’s shea ecosystem. The Association emphasised the need for policy stability, deeper stakeholder engagement, and well-coordinated financing mechanisms to promote balanced sector expansion while safeguarding rural livelihoods and maintaining investor confidence.
NACCIMA further reiterated its dedication to constructive public–private dialogue and collaboration in advancing Nigeria’s non-oil export diversification strategy and broader industrial transformation agenda.

The Association pledged continued engagement with relevant government institutions and development partners to ensure the shea sector contributes meaningfully to employment generation, foreign exchange earnings, and national economic development.
